Specific Skills

Help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of classroom teacher; Monitor and report student progress to classroom teacher

Experience with Special Needs Children

Children who are blind or visually impaired; Children who are deaf or hard of hearing; Children with behavioural issues; Children with epilepsy; Autistic children; Children with diabetes; Children with a mental health disability; Children with learning disabilities; Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD); Children with asthma; Children with Down syndrome; Children with a genetic disorder

Additional Skills

Monitor students during recess and lunch hour; Assist teacher in the operation of projectors, tape recorders and other audio-visual or electronic equipment
