Specific Skills
Advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition; Prepare and serve nutritious meals; Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories; Implement life skills workshops; Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services; Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs; Conduct follow-up assessments; Implement behaviour management programs; Conduct individual and group counselling sessions; Establish registry of special needs support workers; Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures; Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research; Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff; Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community; Assist clients/guests with special needs; Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients; Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities; Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required; Aid in the prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition; Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
