Specific Skills
Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care; Plan programs of assistance for clients; Plan and manage budgets; Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories; Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services; Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs; Provide suicide and crisis intervention; Resolve conflict situations; Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses; Implement behaviour management programs; Establish registry of special needs support workers; Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures; Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research; Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff; Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming; Assist clients/guests with special needs; Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients; Schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports; Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
